AP Exam Information
Grapevine High School is proud to participate in the CollegeBoard Advanced Placement Program. As an AP Program participating school, Grapevine High School students have the opportunity to access a more rigorous college level curriculum while attending their high school campus. For more information specifically on the CollegeBoard curriculum and the Advanced Placement program, please visit https://ap.collegeboard.org/.
At Grapevine High School the culmination of the Advanced Placement course is the AP Exam. These exams are offered traditionally in the month of May. The exam represents a chance to demonstrate student knowledge and success on a comprehensive test that may be eligible for college credit at participating schools. Grapevine High School is also an approved community testing site for non GHS/GCISD students. GHS in an effort to constantly advocate for rigorous instruction highly recommends that interested students take these exams. The registration process currently contains two key steps
The first is enrollment in the CollegeBoard APClassroom website. This platform is where AP Teachers can post resources and assignments for their students and where students have the opportunity to opt into enrollment on the AP Exam.
CollegeBoard invoices schools directly for the exam so schools are required to accept payment for the tests themselves. This is accomplished in GCISD through the use of a third party payment platform from a company called Total Registration.
In an effort to help facilitate this process this slide presentation has been created showing you how to verify payment and enrollment for your student and make sure that they are ready for the exam administrations in May.
