STAAR EOC Interim Assessments
GHS will be giving the STAAR EOC Interim Assessments February 16th – March 31st to students currently enrolled in English I, English II and Algebra I.

STAAR Interim Assessments are an online and free tool schools can use to gauge students' understanding of the statewide curriculum and students' mastery of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). This helps inform intervention and predicts performance on the STAAR summative assessments. STAAR Interim Assessments are low-stakes tests and not tied to accountability.

We understand that COVID-19 may have changed how your school year looks and how schools are working with parents and students to help students increase their learning. It is important to see how students are performing academically. GHS is asking remote students to take a STAAR Interim Assessment at home to better understand students' needs and how to support student learning.

Your student’s English I, English II, or Algebra I teachers will be assigning the interim assessment during the testing window and providing instructions for how to access their test ticket needed for testing, as well as how to access the test.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your student’s English or Algebra teacher.
